I currently have a iPhone 3G on the ATT&T network and was looking into buying an unlocked Nokia E71 on eBay for $355.88. I was wondering if my data plan (unlimited data, e-mail, etc. + 200 text messages) would work with my E71 without a hitch if I were to move the SIM card from one device to the other.

The iPhone data plan is customized for iPhone usage, so it would not work in another phone. You could however, change your plan to a regular data plan, then it would work.
Yes. It should work.
When you put the SIM Card in another GSM phone, then the contract/plan and all other network-based service or data will be transferred to that phone. This also goes if your contacts and messages have been stored in your SIM Card.
>> You have to be careful though. You said that you will be buying from eBay. Most people selling stuff in eBay post pictures of real phones but when it is delivered to you, it will turn out to be a counterfeit. It will be best though if you buy from an Authorized Nokia Reseller near you.
I’ve never had a problem with sellers that have outstanding feedback. That’s the key to ebay!
