QA : phone software troubles (nokia n85)?



hi there i bought a nokia n85 a few weeks ago and i love it but i have some problems …first since yesterday the ngage tab in the menu when i click it nothing happens and i tried to enter thru the multimedia button but it said system error ….second problem is when i try to download themes from my pc to the phone it says certificate expired

    Well, to solve your problem with the N-Gage application, you just need to update your phone’s firmware. Visit http://www.nokia.com/softwareupdate for more information. And as you said that you can’t install themes because it says, “Certificate expired”, you need to change the current date of your phone to an older date. First, transfer the themes to your phone using a USB data cable or bluetooth or any other method. Don’t use Nokia Application Installer to install those files. Then, goto Menu and select ‘Tools’ -> ‘Settings’ -> ‘Date and time’ -> ‘Date’ and set your date to 1/7/2007. Then open the file in the File Manager or in Inbox. If your phone doesn’t display any error message and asks you whether you want to install it, press ‘Yes’ and follow the on-screen instructions. But if your phone still shows the same error message then set the phone’s date to an even older date like 1/1/2007 . If your displays, “Certificate error. Certificate expired or phone’s date setting may be incorrect.”, then set your phone’s date to a newer date like 1/11/2007 or 1/1/2008. Do it and try to install the themes again in the same way.
    After installation, set your date back to the current date.
    Note: You may lose all the installed items after updating your phone’s firmware. So, update the firmware first.
    Your phone may ask, “Application not compatible with phone. Continue?” when installing a theme, but don’t worry! If it is a theme for Series60 V3 handsets with 240×320 pixels’ display, it should work perfectly.
