This is a great product but for only a day. I live in a bustling city so the luxury of turning the volume down around me coupled with no wires attached was awesome and effective however, they may appear to look well-built but they are manufactured poorly. I had to return these headphones twice. The first time because I couldn’t turn the headphones off. The second set lasted approximately 8 hours of collective use before I was no longer able to connect via bluetooth and one of the function keys stopped working. I have given up and have decided to purchase another brand, besides the BH-905’s bulge at the sides and make you look dorky. I have purchased the Sennheiser MM 450 headphones instead. This item was not what I expected it to be at all. The noise quality for bluetooth isn’t great at all, can hear static on it and fizzing sound which is annoying. Also while in the same room with the TV and noise cancelation activated, I could still hear everything loud and clear. The looks are beautiful, while on feels very weird. I wouldn’t recommend this product for those who are in the market of noise cancelation headphones.

The headphone were easy to pair with my iphone 3gs and the sound quality is amazing. It comes with a cool hardcase to carry all the accessories. This is probably the only headset that is wireless and has NC.

The noise cancellation function is very nice – seems to be as good as Bose’s Quite Comfort. However, the blue tooth function was broken after half an hour of usage. It is on the way back to Amazon.

I’ve been using these headphones daily at work for about three months now and have spent enough quality time with them to post an honest review. My workday consists of eight hours or more in a noisy computer lab and noise canceling headphones was a mandatory check box in my purchasing decision, wireless was another. I am constantly shuffling around computer equipment, racks, and shelves, and was catching the audio cable on my old headphones; Sennheiser PXC 250’s and JVC HA-NC250’s.
First of all, I really like the Nokia BH905’s for the most part. They work great with my Blackberry Bold for both music and phone conversations, and I have an application that reads my email over Bluetooth. If there was an app that could read off the caller ID then I’d have it made but unfortunately no such animal exists. Noise cancellation is the best I’ve ever had in a pair of headphones, and believe me a computer lab really puts the BH905’s to the test. Unfortunately, these headphones do nothing to help the person at the other end of a phone call hear me in this kind of environment. That really isn’t a big deal though, I can step out easy enough.
The BH905’s come with a nice storage case complete with battery charger (for the non replaceable battery inside the headphones), an audio cable for corded connections, and just about every kind of adapter you could possibly need. No point elaborating much further on this.
Now as much as I like these headphones, I do have some complaints. For one they look really dorky on your head. It’s like Nokia’s engineers designed the headband around a piece of cauliflower. If you have a cauliflower head then your in luck! but for the rest of us, well, we look ridiculous wearing these headphones. And because the headband bows out so much, they don’t stay on my head very well. To correct this situation I wrapped a couple of black Velcro strips around the top of the headband with the poky side facing outward. That makes them stick to my hair which helps quite a bit.
Another complaint I have is the sound. Mids and high’s are much cleaner than my other headphones but bass is lacking. These are not audiophile headphone like Nokia makes them out to be in their advertising videos. If you’ve seen them then you know what I am talking about. I’ve tried increasing the bass a few db’s on some of my music but the headphones just made the music sound distorted. According to Nokia’s specs, the low frequency range is 15Hz, so I tested their claim and generated a 15hz MP3 with Goldwave and guess what? these headphones could not reproduce it at all. I would say that the low end is more like 100-120Hz. In comparison, the Sennheiser’s and JVC’s reproduced the 15Hz sound file a lot better.
The final complaint I have is the price. $150 is an excellent price, $200 is a fair price, anything more than that is too much. At the time of this writing, the Nokia BH905’s don’t have any real competition; sure there are cheaper headphones with similar features, but they don’t come close to the Nokia’s in terms of quality. That’s what I’ve read anyway. Until someone comes out with something that is more-better-cheaper, than I’d have to say that this is the best you can get right now.
The bottom line is that I am reasonably happy with them, I can’t imagine not having them (at work), but they could be so much better.
