Not sure what’s the transfering process on the PSP like but you CAN transfer data to the phone without using PC suite simply connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable and drag and drop stuff to in the removable disk shortcut in my computer. OR alternativley you can use either bluetooth to transfer data or get a memory card reader!!!
