I have a Nokia 6120 Classic cellphone. I often connect it to my PC (via USB Cable). My PC also detects my cell phone as phone and USB modem. my question is how can I use my cellphone as a USB modem? is it possible. My PC is running Windows XP, Serv pack 2.
1. Yes I have phone tool called PC Suite available from Nokia’s website.
2. I do not use Blutooth technology. I use USB wire to connect my cellphone through USB port.
3. By unlimited data are you refering to the cost of downloads and Internet browsing? That is not an issue with me. issue with me
4. I cannot suply unername and password on Win XP as they do not apply. On my cellphone when I have to connect I just use it without supplyng any username or password.

n your PC’s Start menu, select Control Panel. Double-click the Network Connections icon. In the Network Tasks pane, click Create A New Connection. WinXP will open the New Connection Wizard. Click Next. In the next few screens, select Connect To The Internet, Set Up My Connection Manually, and Connect Using A Dial-Up Modem.
When the Select A Device dialog window appears, click the checkbox in front of Modem – Standard Modem Over Bluetooth Link. Name your new Bluetooth connection, provide your Internet dial-in number, and decide if the connection will be available to you only or to anyone using your PC.
If you normally have Internet service on your mobile phone, you may also be able to use that connection. In place of the ISP’s phone number, type *99#. (Leave username and password blank.)
Under Internet Account Information, provide your Internet logon username (including the domain, such as earthlink.net) and password. Uncheck the checkbox in front of Make This The Default Internet Connection unless you want to use it as your primary dial-up connection. Click the checkbox in front of Add A Shortcut To This Connection On My Desktop, and click Finish.
It sure is possible. My first question is, did you get Nokia’s version of phone tools with that USB? Keep in mind that attempting this will use an insane amount of data (about 190 kilobytes per second * 3 cents a kilobyte, do the math) so unless you have unlimited data I wouldn’t try it. If you have phone tools and unlimited data and you are ready to give it a shot, let me know and I’ll walk you through setting it up as an internet connection.
