   First, goto ‘Menu’ and select ‘Contacts’. Then, press ‘Options’, select ‘Settings’ -> ‘Contacts to display’ and mark ‘Phone memory’ (this should be already marked by default) and ‘SIM memory’ (you can also mark ‘Service numbers’ as well, for the service numbers given in your SIM, depending upon your needs). After that, press ‘OK’ and return to the contacts’ list by pressing ‘Back’. You’ll see that the contacts in the SIM have appeared in the list (with an icon of an SIM card against each). Now, though the SIM contacts can used directly, if you want to copy them to the phone memory, press ‘Options’ and select ‘Mark/Unmark’ -> ‘Mark all’. Then, again press ‘Options’ and select ‘Copy’ -> ‘Phone memory’ and wait until they’re copied. After copying, as there will be two copies of each of those contacts (one in the phone-memory and the other in the SIM memory) press ‘Options’, select ‘Settings’ -> ‘Contacts to display’ and unmark ‘SIM memory’. After that, the contacts in the SIM memory will be hidden again and you won’t see multiple copies.

   How do I upload contacts from SIM card to 6730 phone ?
   I see this is possible when the SIM is first installed, but subsequently can’t find any way of doing it. I guess I will need to write out all the contacts and enter them manually. Groan !
