Good day, I would like to know about using my phone as a modem so I can have an internet connection to my PC. Pls tell me the details on the things that must be done. How fast is the connection and how much is the rate of charge. How to register and everything else. I am using Nokia N70 phone…Thanks and more power.

use nokia pc suite..”connect to the internet” and then choose setting..and choose what card (mobile phone card(operator)) u are using..and then click “connect”
if it still not working..you must go to control panel-network connection..and set it there..

and not sure how much it costs.. but a few pennies per KB i think
I agree on using the pc suite software, it also works for me. First set the phone’s connection by checking the connection type in the “manage connection” icon on the pc suite, I recommend using the data cable (pop port to USB) than the bluetooth connection. Once the connection is established, click on the “connect to the internet icon” The first time you run “connect to the internet”, settings will appear that will ask you of your network operator, select from the pull down list and it’s ok. Remember, this solution would only work if your N70’s GPRS and/or 3G settings are in effect. Consult your network carrier on how to activate these settings. If all is set and you still can’t connect, try using a different usb slot, also you can try setting the phone’s network setting to dual mode or umts to refresh initializing packet data connections.
1)First confirm that your mobile operator provides Internet via GSM.
2)Connect your to computer using a cable that came with your phone, and install Nokia PC suite on the CD. (That came with your phone) after connection you can browse Internet using Internet explorer.
